The Green Bay Packers have signed reserve cornerback Tod McBride to a one-year contract, Andrew Brandt, the team's director of player finance, announced today. Free agent offensive tackle Kevin Jordan has been waived/injured, Brandt also said, adding that Jordan will revert back to the Packers as reserve/injured should he be unclaimed in the NFL waiver system.

McBride, a top backup who started six games last season when injuries sidelined Mike McKenzie and Antuan Edwards, is a third-year pro out of UCLA. He contributed 46 tackles, the first two interceptions of his NFL career and 11 passes defensed in 2000.

Jordan, a rookie out of Fresno State, went undrafted this past April and subsequently signed with Green Bay as a free agent on April 26. The following day in practice, he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
