Green Bay Packers fans who want a bird's eye view of Lambeau Field construction don't have to go any farther than their computers and the Packer's web site: www.packers.com Today the "Lambeau Construction Cam" was officially unveiled at the Packers' offices. The camera will allow people to view what's happening at the construction site from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.

"This is going to be of great interest to our fans around the world who don't have an opportunity to come to Lambeau to see what's going on," said John Jones, Packers Senior Vice President of Administration.

The "Lambeau Construction Cam" is a Canon video camera, mounted high atop the Don Hutson practice facility. It is pointed directly at the east side of the Stadium (Oneida Street) where the bulk of Lambeau construction is taking place.

Here's how it works: Packers web site visitors simply click the Construction Cam listing on the main web site page and they'll be able to view the live camera shots. The camera itself is programmed to produce a series of 20 pictures from different camera angles. Each camera angle will be held for approximately 25 seconds, with the picture updated every second. "The result is that it almost feels like you're watching a moving picture or a video," explained Jones. "It gives you a true feel for how much activity is going on at the construction site."

For those who do not wish to stay on line while the camera sequences through its photo series, there will also be a page where you can view 20 of the most recent photos.

"This is great way for people to get a first hand look at the changes at Lambeau," said Jones "With steel now going up, it looks different just about every day. We hope Packer fans will take advantage of this and log on to see what's happening."
