PACKERS WAIVE PARIS LENON

In addition to Roosevelt Brown, the Packers have waived linebacker Paris Lenon, a first-year free agent linebacker from the University of Richmond, Director of Pro Personnel Reggie McKenzie announced.
The 6-1, 233-pound Lenon had been signed as a free agent April 28, 2001, after playing for the Memphis Maniax of the XFL in 2001. A three-year starter at Richmond, he originally had been signed by Carolina as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2000. He was subsequently waived on June 9, 2000, and out of football for the balance of the season.
Earlier in the day, the team waived Brown, a rookie defensive from Texas A&M-Kingsville as failed/physical.
