PACELLI'S RACZEK NAMED GREEN BAY PACKERS HIGH SCHOOL COACH OF THE WEEK

Bob Raczek, head coach of the Pacelli Cardinals, has been selected as the Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Week, the Packers announced today.
Last Friday, the Cardinals recorded their fifth straight victory to open the season with a 32-22 Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division triumph over Weyauwega-Fremont High School, who came in as the sixth-ranked team in Division Four. The smallest school in the eight-team conference with 39 players, Pacelli is currently the top ranked team statewide in Division Six.
One of the most successful coaches in Wisconsin history, Raczek holds a 245-116-2 record in 35 seasons as head coach of the Cardinals. In his 40 years as a head coach, he holds an overall record of 259-132-2 including four years at Plainfield Tri-Country High School. A center and guard at Mosinee (Wis.) High School he moved on to play collegiate football at Wisconsin-Stout. A former industrial education teacher at the high school, Raczek has since retired.
The Packers will recognize one outstanding high school coach as their Coach of the Week winner during the 2001 high school football season. As a Coach of the Week winner, Raczek and future recipients will be awarded several items and privileges, including a $500 donation to the school's football program from NFL Charities, as well as "Play Football" T-shirts for the coaches and players.
