posted 11/29/01
The Packers Women's Association will present its fourth annual "Talent & Fashion Extravaganza" at the Walter Theater on the St. Norbert College campus Friday evening, December 14.
Tickets are available at the St. Norbert College Box Office or by calling the college ticket office at (920) 403-3950, or toll-free at (800) 762-2699.
Participants in the Extravaganza, which has become a traditional event on the area entertainment scene, include Green Bay Packers players and coaches, wives and significant others as well as their children.
Rhodesia Butler again will direct the production. Wives and significant others who will be taking part include Karen Sherman, wife of GM/Head Coach
Mike Sherman, Carol Slowik, Monique Dotson, Yvette Sherman, Mary Flanigan, Sarah Longwell, Bethany Bidwell, Betina Driver, Jill Rubin, Ann Mary Johnson, Tawana McBride, Jeannie Pederson and Cherise Franklin, among others.
Free safety LeRoy Butler and other Packers players also will participate in the event.
Proceeds from the show will be used to further the Salvation Army's "Adopt A Family" program. The PWA has adopted 50 families for Christmas this year, according to Sherry Schuldes, the Packers' director of family programs, who reported that the PWA has previously adopted 210 families for the holidays since 1997. Each of the adopted families receives Christmas gifts, such as toys and clothing, and a complete Christmas dinner.
A silent auction, starting at 6 p.m., will precede the Extravaganza, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30.
