Tarver Leads Claymores On Defense

Hurley Tarver started for the Scottish Claymores and led the team with 8 tackles and added a special teams stop in the 14-10 loss to the Frankfurt Galaxy this past weekend. Herbert Goodman also started for Scotland and rushed for 7 yards and was one of only four Claymores to catch a pass against the Galaxy.

Paris Lenon started for the Amsterdam Admirals and had 7 tackles in the 28-9 loss to the Berlin Thunder, as Berlin notched their first win of the season. John Gilmore also started for Amsterdam and registered one tackle in the defeat, the Admirals' second consecutive setback.

Tim Stuber (F.C. Barcelona) and Joey Dozier (Frankfurt) started over the weekend for their respective teams. Offensive lineman Ed Kehl saw action with the Rhein Fire in the 31-3 victory over F.C. Barcelona.

As NFL Europe heads into Week 5, the Frankfurt Galaxy is the only undefeated team after four weeks of play.

UNDEFEATED ON THE LINE
If the Frankfurt Galaxy beat the Rhein Fire this Saturday, the Galaxy will become the first team since the Fire in 1998, and only the fourth all-time to win their first five games of the season. Teams to post a 5-0 record: London Monarchs (9-0), 1991; Amsterdam Admirals (7-0), 1995; Rhein Fire (6-0), 1998.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Offense: RB, Anthony White, Berlin (Arizona Cardinals) - helped Berlin capture its first win of the season vs. Amsterdam; rushed for 97 yards including a one-yard touchdown run, and averaged 6.1 yards per carry; added 5 receptions for a team-leading 89 yards.

Defense: DT, Norris McCleary, Frankfurt (Kansas City Chiefs) - 2 sacks and 3 tackles in win over Scotland; helped defense set NFL Europe records by allowing the fewest first downs, fewest offensive yards and fewest net passing yards in a game.

Special Teams: RB, Rafael Cooper, Amsterdam (Tennessee Titans) - totaled 140 yards on 4 kickoff returns in loss against Berlin; added a 92-yard kickoff return touchdown National: DE, Robert Flickinger, Scotland - 4 tackles and one sack in loss to Frankfurt.

TELEVISION COVERAGE
DirecTV will broadcast two games per weekend, FOX Sports Net will televise a "Game of the Week" all season and FOX will broadcast a "Game of the Week" each week during Weeks 6-8, followed by World Bowl X on June 22. Current and former NFL players will be in the broadcast booth throughout the season.
