The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Corey Parchman to the practice squad, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced Thursday.

The 6-foot, 191-pound Parchman replaces wide receiver Devin Lewis, who has been terminated.

A three-year letterman at Ball State, Parchman originally was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent April 22, 2002. He subsequently was waived in the team's final roster reduction for the regular season September 1. He had closed out the preseason with 2 pass receptions for 31 yards, 2 kickoff returns for 53 yards and 2 special teams tackles.

At Ball State, Parchman made 33 catches for 441 yards and 4 touchdowns over his career.

The newcomer has been assigned jersey number 16.
