Packers Waive RB J.R. Taylor

The Green Bay Packers have placed rookie running back J.R. Taylor, from Eastern Illinois, on waivers, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced Thursday.
Taylor, 6-1 and 222 pounds, had been signed as an undrafted free agent May 2, and took part in last week's post-draft mini-camp. He led Eastern Illinois last season with a career-high 1,522 yards rushing, scoring 18 touchdowns and closing out his collegiate career with 3,705 yards, a 5.8-yard average. |
