Packers Greats To Be Live & In Person At Rebirth Of A Legend Event At Lambeau Field

It's not often you get to see many of the Green Bay Packers greats in one spot - much less in the very spot that helped make them famous. But that's what will happen on Saturday night, September 6, 2003 during the live, "Rebirth of a Legend" event to be held inside historic Lambeau Field.
"We think Packers fans will be very excited when they hear that many of their favorites from throughout the years will be at Lambeau taking part in this event," said Packers Executive Vice President and COO John Jones. "To be seated inside Lambeau and have these Packers legends standing on the turf where they helped create the Packers story, will be something fans won't want to miss." The event is part of the Packers weeklong grand opening celebration for the newly redeveloped Lambeau Field.
Appearances have been confirmed by: Bart Starr, Willie Davis, Paul Hornung, Lynn Dickey, Robert Brooks, Paul Coffman, Don Majkowski, Chester Marcol, Max McGee and Ron Wolf.
In addition to Packers legends past and present, the blockbuster event, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., will feature live music by a national recording artist (to be announced at a later date), special videos, highlights of Lambeau's greatest moments and a tribute to the greatest fans in the world - Packers fans. All attendees will receive a special commemorative item and fireworks will cap off the evening's festivities.
It is rare to have all of these outstanding people, from different Packers eras, together at Lambeau. They made history here - and this event will be another piece of Packer history," said Craig Benzel, Packers Marketing Director.
"What makes this all the more special is that all of our fans, regardless of whether or not they have game tickets for the next day, have an opportunity to be a part of the grand opening celebration," he added.
