The Packers Women's Association will hold its 17th Annual Food Drive for Paul's Pantry prior to Sunday's noon game against the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field.

PWA members, who will be wearing their husband's or significant other's jersey or "Help the Pack Sack Hunger" T-shirts, will collect non-perishable food items and cash donations in the stadium parking lot and at the gates prior to kickoff. Food items can be placed in bins, which will be located throughout the Lambeau Field parking lot. Volunteers from Paul's Pantry will be assisting with the collection.

As an added incentive to donate to the food drive, fans have an opportunity to win Packers autographed items. For every $5 donation or 5 non-perishable food items contributed, a fan will receive a ticket stub.

The winning ticket numbers will be drawn and announced on the matrix board during the game. Fans with the winning ticket stubs can pick up their item at Fan Assistance in section 109.

"This is a great event for the community each year," said Candy Clifton, PWA Food Drive Chairperson and wife of Packers offensive lineman Chad Clifton.

In the previous 16 years of conducting the food drive, PWA has collected over 320,300 non-perishable food items and more than $130,400 for Paul's Pantry, a supplementary food distribution program for the needy in the greater Green Bay area.

Along with the collection at Lambeau Field, approximately 30 area schools are holding an in-school food drive contest. The school that collects the most donations per student will receive a visit from Packers players during their lunchtime on Oct. 14.

Area Copps Food Centers are also helping the Pack "Sack Hunger" in the community by donating 5 pallets of non-perishable food to the food drive.
