Packers' NFL Europe Players Receive Assignments For '04 Season

The Green Bay Packers' 12 allocated players for the NFL Europe League received their assignments for the 2004 season, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced Tuesday.

Five of them - fullback Kris Briggs, cornerback Derek Combs, tight end Tony Donald, linebacker Steve Josue and wide receiver Corey Parchman - have been assigned to the Amsterdam Admirals.

Three - cornerback Erwin Swiney and defensive ends Cullen Jenkins and Eric Powell - have been allocated to the Cologne Centurions, and three others - tackle Jason Jimenez, wide receiver Wilson Thomas and linebacker Ralph Turner - to the Frankfurt Galaxy.

Running back Walter Williams has been assigned to the Rhein Fire of Dusseldorf.

They are scheduled to report to the NFLEL's training camp Saturday, Feb. 27. The league will open its '04 season Saturday, April 3.
