The Green Bay Packers have re-signed safety Curtis Fuller and waived DT John Hilliard, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced Friday.

Fuller, 25, due to become a restricted free agent Wednesday, joined the Packers on waivers from the Seahawks, Sept. 1. Green Bay gave him extensive duty at defensive back late in the year after Antuan Edwards went on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Fuller played in nine games as a reserve, and was inactive for the other seven contests. He also saw action in both playoff games.

The 5-foot-10, 191-pound safety out of Texas Christian, enters his fourth NFL season in 2004. Last year, he recorded five tackles and one pass defensed, along with one special teams stop. He added one tackle from scrimmage during the postseason. On Nov. 27 at Detroit, he posted two tackles and one pass breakup, playing his most snaps of the year (44) with Darren Sharper inactive due to a lung contusion and Edwards going to the sideline early in the second half with a partially torn hamstring.

In Seattle from 2001-02, Fuller played 26 games with two starts, posting 47 tackles, one interception and four passes defensed. First-team all-conference both as a junior and senior at TCU, he started 32 of 33 games over three seasons in college.

Hilliard, signed Jan. 5 to a reserve/future contract, played in 27 games for Seattle over the 2000-02 seasons, with 11 starts, posting 34 tackles, 24 of them unassisted. The Seahawks waived him in camp, Aug. 25, and he was out of football for the balance of 2003.
