FIRST ANNUAL PACKERS FAN FEST SET FOR MID-MARCH; STARR AND FAVRE TO HIGHLIGHT CELEBRATION OF PACKERS FOOTBALL

The Green Bay Packers Thursday announced plans for the first annual Packers Fan Fest, a three-day celebration of Packers football for the whole family.

The event, the first of its kind for the franchise, is set for March 11-13 and will allow fans the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite Packers players, past and present, as well as coaching staff and front office personnel.

"We're excited to be able to offer this event for our fans," said Packers President Bob Harlan. "It will be a fun-filled three days for everyone with a nice mix of seeing and hearing from their favorite players as well as some other enjoyable opportunities."

Among the activities to take place in the Lambeau Field Atrium are question and answer sessions, followed by autograph and photo opportunities, with some of the most enduring figures in club history, including Hall of Famer Bart Starr and three-time MVP Brett Favre.

"I'm very excited about coming back for an event like this," said Starr. "Packers fans always have been, and always will be, the best."

"I think it's a great idea," added Favre. "March is typically pretty quiet for fans, with the season having been over for several weeks and the draft still some time away. It'll be a great weekend for them to get together and share their enthusiasm for the team. I look forward to coming back for the event."

In addition to numerous football-related activities, Packers Fan Fest also will feature a special kid's area and family fun.

Tickets, priced at $55 and good for all three days of the event, will go on sale Feb. 9, in person through the Packers ticket office, and via telephone. The ticket includes admission to the Packers Hall of Fame during the event. Children 3-and-under are free.

A portion of the proceeds will go to charity through the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
