FAN FEST TICKETS GO ON SALE NEXT WEDNESDAY; THREE-DAY CELEBRATION OF PACKERS FOOTBALL SET FOR MARCH 11-13

Tickets for the inaugural Packers Fan Fest go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 9. Scheduled for March 11-13, Fan Fest is a three-day celebration of Packers football for the whole family that will allow fans the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite Packers players, past and present, as well as coaching staff and front office personnel.

Headlined by Pro Football Hall of Famer Bart Starr and three-time NFL MVP Brett Favre, other Packers appearances to be spread over the three days of the event include Kevin Barry, Edgar Bennett, Gilbert Brown, Najeh Davenport, Lynn Dickey, Donald Driver, Tony Fisher, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Bob Harlan, Paul Hornung, Grady Jackson, Don Majkowski, Larry McCarren, Doug Pederson, Joey Thomas, Javon Walker, Frank Winters and Ron Wolf.

The team announced Friday that Nick Barnett and Ahmad Carroll, the Packers' first-round picks in 2003 and '04, respectively, were added to the lineup.

Among the activities to take place in the Lambeau Field Atrium are question-and-answer sessions, followed by autograph and photo opportunities. Due to time constraints and anticipated demand, autograph and photo sessions with certain players will be conducted via random drawing. A Sunday tour of the Packers' football facilities, including the locker room, is slated as well.

Other football-themed areas will be set up for perusal. Free offerings include "Fantasy Play-by-Play," where fans can voice their favorite Packers plays and take home a free VHS tape of the "call," Sony PlayStation kiosks, featuring four game units allowing attendees to challenge each other to a friendly match, Mitchell and Ness' "History of Uniforms" display and Riddell's "History of Helmets" display.

Also available are "Scoreboard Memories," where fans can purchase a picture with their images superimposed on a photo of Lambeau Field with a custom message appearing on the scoreboard, "Grid Works," a custom laser engraving process that enables fans to personalize wooden footballs and other memorabilia and "The Gallery of Sports Art," featuring framed and unframed photos from the extensive collection of Vernon and Jim Biever as well as other artists.

Packers Fan Fest also will feature a special kid's area that will include inflatable units, such as "Stadium Bounce," plus the popular obstacle course known as "Rookie Camp," as well as face-painting and tattoos. Another attraction for fans 12-and-under will be a kids-only autograph table featuring a Packers player for a signing session.

The weekend begins Friday evening, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., the event kicking off at 7 p.m. and ending at 10:30 p.m. Saturday's schedule calls for doors to open at 9 a.m. and activities running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday's schedule has doors opening at 9 a.m. with activities running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A total of 3,000 tickets will be sold, priced at $55 and good for all three days of the event. They will go on sale at 9 a.m. (CST) Feb. 9, in person through the Packers ticket office (MasterCard, Visa, check, cash) and via telephone (MasterCard, Visa) at 800/992-5750. A $5-per-order handling fee will be charged as well, with a limit of six tickets sold per household. The ticket includes admission to the Packers Hall of Fame during the event.
