FAN FEST STARTS FRIDAY; MORE DETAILS ANNOUNCED, INCLUDING UNIQUE SILENT AUCTION ITEMS

With the inaugural Packers Fan Fest starting Friday, the Lambeau Field Atrium is gearing up for a three-day celebration of Packers football.

Fan Fest is headlined by Pro Football Hall of Famer Bart Starr and three-time NFL MVP Brett Favre, with other Packers appearances to be spread over the three-day event including Nick Barnett, Edgar Bennett, Gilbert Brown, LeRoy Butler, Ahmad Carroll, Najeh Davenport, Lynn Dickey, Donald Driver, Tony Fisher, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Bob Harlan, Paul Hornung, Grady Jackson, Jerry Kramer, Don Majkowski, Larry McCarren, Doug Pederson, Mark Tauscher, Joey Thomas, Frank Winters and Ron Wolf.

The team Thursday announced two changes to the players' lineup: James Lee is filling in for Kevin Barry and Robert Ferguson is filling in for Javon Walker.

Ted Thompson, Packers Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, is scheduled to address the fans Friday night and Mike Sherman, Packers Executive Vice President and Head Coach will appear Sunday.

At the time of initial entry into Packers Fan Fest, ticket holders will be given a complimentary lanyard, enabling them to wear their event ticket (which must be visible at all times) around the neck, as well as a program for the weekend's activities and a commemorative autograph book. Attendees Saturday and Sunday will receive door prize tickets for more than 30 items to be given away over the course of the two days. Wild Card tickets, containing randomly-selected autograph opportunities or Packers Pro Shop discounts, will be distributed to attendees each day upon entrance.

Fan Fest's silent auction will feature some unique Packers opportunities, including a dinner party in a private box overlooking the 50-yard line and the chance to assist Allen Johnson, the Packers' fields manager, as he paints a Lambeau Field end zone in preparation for a Sunday game. Autographed memorabilia will be featured as well. Winners will be announced Sunday and proceeds from the silent auction will go to charity through the Green Bay Packers Foundation.

Among the activities to take place in the Lambeau Field Atrium are question-and-answer sessions, followed by autograph and photo opportunities. A Sunday tour of the Packers' football facilities, including the locker room, is slated as well. Other football-themed areas will be set up for perusal and Fan Fest also will feature a special kid's area.

The weekend begins Friday evening, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., the event kicking off at 7 p.m. and ending at 10:30 p.m. Saturday's schedule calls for doors to open at 9 a.m. and activities running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday's schedule has doors opening at 9 a.m. with activities running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fans will be allowed to exit and re-enter with their ticket. The event is almost entirely indoors, with exception being a short venture outside through the players' tunnel during the football facilities tour. Use of cameras and video cameras during the event will be permitted as well. Food and drink will be available for purchase at Curly's Pub and Atrium eateries, and fans will be able to "take a break," if needed, in the indoor club seat area on the fourth floor, as well as at tables and chairs located in the north balcony on the fourth floor.

Parking for Fan Fest, free of charge, is available in the Lambeau Field parking lots via entrances off Lombardi Avenue and Ridge Road.

The Green Bay Packers are proud to welcome Goodwill Industries, Sargento Cheese and Packer Report as Fan Fest sponsors.
