| Antoineo Harris Signed To Practice Squad
The Green Bay Packers Wednesday signed running back Antoineo Harris to the practice squad. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the addition. Harris, a 5-foot-10, 220-pound player out of Illinois, originally signed as a non-drafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers before the 2003 season. After spending the '03 campaign on the Chargers' injured reserve, Harris was out of football in 2004, then went to '05 training camp with the Chicago Bears. His first name is pronounced "an-TONE-ee-oh." The second-leading rusher in Illinois history after his senior season, Harris racked up 2,985 yards on 676 carries. He set the single-season school mark with 1,330 yards on the ground in 2002. Green Bay has two spots open on its practice squad, which can carry up to eight players. |
