The Green Bay Packers Tuesday signed wide receiver Jamal Jones and cornerback Jerron Wishom to the practice squad. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the additions, which complete the eight-man developmental unit.

Jones, a 6-foot, 214-pound receiver from North Carolina A&T, spent training camp in Green Bay and caught three passes for 30 yards in 2005 preseason action.

Wishom, a 6-foot, 197-pound rookie out of Louisiana Tech, signed in May as a non-drafted free agent with the Houston Texans, where he remained until being released in the team's final preseason roster reduction. A physical cornerback, Wishom overcame multiple knee injuries to play in 35 college games, with nine starts, collecting 48 tackles and three interceptions. His first name is pronounced "JARE-in."
