Initial goals were to raise more than $100,000 to benefit three breast cancer charities focusing on prevention, treatment and research. Now, because of the tremendous support the endeavor has received and the $1 million raised, 12 charities each will receive more than $80,000 from the program.

The Green Bay Packers Monday placed Najeh Davenport on injured reserve with a broken ankle. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, made the announcement.

Davenport, a 6-foot-1, 247-pound running back from Miami (Fla.), sustained the injury on a reception late in the first half of Sunday's 52-3 win over New Orleans at Lambeau Field.

The annual search is on for a new Packers FAN Hall of Fame honoree.

The first professional football team to have its own hall of fame, the Green Bay Packers enhanced that distinction in 1998 by establishing a Packers FAN Hall of Fame. It was founded, in conjunction with the Packers Hall of Fame, for the purpose of annually honoring a devout and longtime Packers fan.

As has been the case each of the past seven years, fans have been asked to nominate themselves for recognition by a selection committee. The late Mel Knoke of Appleton was chosen as the inaugural enshrinee in the FAN Hall of Fame. The 91-year-old Knoke, who died between the time of his election and enshrinement, was honored posthumously at the 1999 Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet.
