The famous University of Wisconsin Marching Band will perform at Saturday's Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic, it was announced Thursday.

In addition to performing the national anthem, the band will entertain fans throughout the game and offer postgame songs as well.

A skating Bucky Badger will make his customary appearance, too.

It also was announced Thursday that youth hockey groups from the Green Bay and De Pere Youth Hockey Associations will skate on the Lambeau Field rink Saturday. More than 200 skaters, from mites through high school, will enjoy ice time throughout the morning and during the intermissions of the Wisconsin-Ohio State game.

Both associations sold tickets to the game as a fundraising opportunity.

"Youth Hockey is extremely appreciative for the opportunity to be associated with the Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic. We'd like the community to know that the Green Bay Packers have opened their arms to us. Our ability to participate in this historic event and their support of youth hockey is fantastic," said Phil DeLeers, President of the Green Bay Area Youth Hockey Association.

"The Frozen Tundra weekend has created a lot of excitement among the youth hockey players and their families," said Scott Stein, De Pere Youth Hockey Association board member. "Our hockey associations were able to raise additional funds through the ticket sales and the young players that will skate in games at Lambeau Field on Saturday morning are very excited. It is a great event for those involved in hockey and the entire community."

Tickets remain available for the game, slated for 3 p.m. Saturday.

Prices are as follows for the stadium bowl: $24 for adults, $16 for students (including college) and $14 for children (under 12). Indoor and outdoor club seats are sold out.

Beginning at noon Friday, tickets will be available for purchase only at the Packers' ticket office. Fans can purchase tickets in person from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Over-the-phone orders can be transacted by calling 920/569-7501.

Prior to noon Friday, tickets can be purchased on the internet by clicking here; by phone through TicketStar at 920/494-3401 in Green Bay, or toll free, 800/895-0071, from any other location; or in person at TicketStar's Resch Center box office location, 1901 S. Oneida St., in Ashwaubenon.

Parking lots will open at 9 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $10 per car, with limited bus and RV parking available, as well, for $40.

The game also will serve as the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Hall of Fame.
