Green Bay Inks DT Kenderick Allen

Adding an experienced run-stopper to their defensive line, the Green Bay Packers Wednesday signed free agent Kenderick Allen. Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson announced the addition.

Allen, a 6-foot-5, 328-pound defensive tackle out of Louisiana State, joins the Packers from the New York Giants, where he spent the previous two seasons.

In a reserve role, Allen played in 14 total games last year, recording 21 tackles (15 solo), two sacks and two fumble recoveries. In a division contest at Philadelphia (Dec. 11), he recovered a Mike McMahon fumble in overtime to give New York possession on the Eagles' 27-yard line, setting up the game-winning field goal.

Overall in three NFL seasons, Allen has played in 29 games with three starts, amassing 51 tackles (40 solo), three sacks and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Packers Shareholders' Meeting To Be Held Wednesday, July 19

The annual Packers shareholders' meeting will be held Wednesday, July 19, inside Lambeau Field, starting at 9 a.m. The meeting will be open to ticketed shareholders, plus one guest, and will take place rain or shine.

The event returns to the historic stadium, where it was held the first two years after the 1997-98 stock sale (1998, '99), because more than 5,000 stockholders were turned away from last year's meeting when the nearby Resch Center was deemed to have met its capacity. By utilizing Lambeau Field, every shareholder who wants to attend will have the opportunity to do so.

This year's special offering for shareholders features a tour through the team's locker room and football facilities. Many shareholders have expressed an interest in seeing the "heart and soul" of the football facilities, especially since the team moved into the redeveloped Lambeau Field. Packers Release WR Terrence Murphy

The Green Bay Packers Friday released wide receiver Terrence Murphy for medical reasons. Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson made the announcement.

"After several tests and consultations, we have concluded that Terrence will not be cleared to play for the Green Bay Packers," Thompson said.

"Terrence is an outstanding person and player who is very well thought of by everyone within the Packers family. We wish him nothing but the best in whatever direction his life takes him."

Murphy, a 6-foot-1, 196-pound player out of Texas A&M, played in three games as a 2005 rookie, catching five passes for 36 yards (7.2 avg.). A versatile athlete, Murphy also returned five kickoffs for 91 yards (18.2 avg.). Packers Announce Preseason Dates, Times

The Green Bay Packers Friday finalized dates and times for their remaining three preseason contests.

The National Football League on March 29 announced preseason opponents and nationally televised games, including the Packers' Aug. 28 trip to Cincinnati, a 7 p.m. CDT kickoff on ESPN.

For contests not on national television, the individual teams have the responsibility of coordinating dates and times with respective opponents.

2006 will go down in history as a year of firsts for NFL Network. First live regular season games, first Super Bowl pregame show and now, first live coverage of the NFL Draft.

Week 4 of the NFL Europe League season was packed with action as a new touchdown record was set, one team remained undefeated and all the games were close, with all three being decided by 10 points-or-less.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Chad Lucas became the first player in NFL Europe history to catch four touchdown passes in a game, helping the Amsterdam Admirals improve to 3-1 with a thrilling 38-31 road win over the Berlin Thunder. The Green Bay Packers Draft Party, set for April 29 at the Lambeau Field Atrium, will feature a new element this year: free wireless internet access.

The feature, provided by Time Warner Cable, will allow attendees who bring wireless-enabled laptops to log on to their favorite draft Web sites and follow the day's action online.

Tickets for the 2006 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony will go on sale on Wednesday April 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM ET. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting the Hall's website at www.profootballhof.com or by calling 1-800-913-9788.

There is a limit of 10 tickets per household. The enshrinement tickets are for 2006 only and non-renewable in future years. All tickets are non-refundable and will be mailed on June 30th.
