EVENT TO BENEFIT THE ANGEL FUND FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER

A few lanes are still available for Friday evening's Edgar Bennett Celebrity Bowl-A-Thon at Ashwaubenon Lanes. Interested area businesses and individuals are encouraged to support the effort and join Packers players as they trade their cleats for fashionable bowling shoes to help raise money for The Angel Fund for Children with Cancer, Inc.

Among the many Packers players scheduled to participate are Donald Driver, Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Kampman, Nick Barnett, Samkon Gado, Nick Collins, Mike Hawkins and Ahmad Carroll. Several members of the Packers' coaching staff will be taking part as well.

The Angel Fund is an organization dedicated to giving financial and social support to families residing in Brown County whose children are receiving treatment for cancer or for bone marrow failure. More information on the organization can be found at www.theangelfundforchildren.org.

Registration for the evening begins at 6 p.m., with the bowling event and silent auction to start at 6:30. A Kraft Foods buffet is available throughout the event. Silent auction items include a shovel used in the Lambeau Field redevelopment groundbreaking ceremony signed by several players, including LeRoy Butler and Ahman Green, plus a football autographed by Aaron Rodgers and a football autographed by Paul Hornung.

The Green Bay Packers are proud to welcome Kraft Foods and Brunswick as sponsors of the event.

Corporate- and lane-level sponsorships: Two levels of sponsorship are available for a team of four bowlers per lane, to be joined by one celebrity. Each participant will receive a shirt and team photo, their company sign displayed above their lane, plus access to the Kraft Foods buffet and soda.

For more information about sponsorships and to sign up, please contact the Packers' community relations department at 920/569-7500.
