Will Blackmon, Ingle Martin, Tony Moll Added To Draft Party

Will Blackmon, Ingle Martin and Tony Moll have been added to the lineup at the Green Bay Packers Draft Party, set for April 28 at the Lambeau Field Atrium.

They join Daryn Colledge, Noah Herron, Abdul Hodge, Dave Rayner and Jason Spitz. The players will participate in a question-and-answer session on stage and sign autographs for attendees via a ticketed session. Attendees will receive a ticket for one randomly assigned two-player autograph session when entering the party.

The event, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (doors open at 10), will feature draft coverage on two large television projection screens, and the Packers' flagship radio station, Newsradio 620 WTMJ, will be on hand to provide coverage and analysis throughout the day.

Tickets for the Draft Party, priced at $25, currently are on sale at 18 Wisconsin Mills Fleet Farm locations and must be purchased in person. Children 3 and younger are free.

March 26, 2007 - On Thursday, April 12, James Brown, host of CBS Sports' "THE NFL TODAY," along with Michael Wilbon of the Washington Post and ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption," will honor some of the NFL's biggest heroes at the NFL Players Gala featuring the JB Awards, an annual awards presentation benefiting Special Olympics D.C. For the fourth consecutive year, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) and PLAYERS INC, the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFLPA, have partnered with Brown to recognize NFL players for their individual contributions to their communities with the JB Awards.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, Inc. Tuesday announced the presenters for the 37th Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 21, 2007, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Former Packers wide receiver Antonio Freeman will present Robert Brooks and ESPN anchor and Green Bay native John Anderson will present LeRoy Butler.

Freeman, drafted in the third round in 1995 out of Virginia Tech, went on to play eight years in Green Bay (1995-2001, 2003) and became one of top receivers in team annals. Freeman and Brooks in 1997 became the first wide receiver tandem in club history to each post 1,000 yards receiving (1,243 and 1,010, respectively). In club record books, Freeman stands fifth in career receptions (431) and yards (6,651) and third in touchdown receptions (57). Parents seeking ways for their children to spend some of their time off from school can look to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and its 'Spring Fever in the Hall of Fame' program.

Now through April 15, for each child admission ($5 for children 6-11) purchased at the Hall of Fame, a $5 gift card will be issued for use in Curly's Game Zone.

Curly's Game Zone, on the Atrium's second level, features more than 50 exciting and interactive games. A highlight of the Game Zone is an area where kids can test their football skills by dodging defenders and throwing touchdown passes.

The Green Bay Packers Thursday signed unrestricted free agent Frank Walker. Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson announced the addition.

Walker, a 5-foot-11, 196-pound cornerback from Tuskegee, spent his first four NFL seasons with the New York Giants, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2003 draft. In 42 games, including five career starts, Walker has 52 tackles (43 solo) and five interceptions among nine passes defensed.

The annual Packers shareholders' meeting will be held Wednesday, July 25, inside Lambeau Field, starting at 10 a.m. The meeting will be open to ticketed shareholders, plus one guest, and will take place rain or shine.

This will be the fourth time the meeting will be held in the historic stadium (1998-99, 2006). By utilizing Lambeau Field, every shareholder who wants to attend will have the opportunity to do so.

More detailed information about the meeting will be included in proxies sent to shareholders at the end of May.

The Lambeau Field Atrium is abuzz today as the Packers prepare for the third annual Fan Fest, set for March 9-10.

Approximately 3,500 Packers fans will descend upon the Atrium Friday and Saturday, ready to take in two days of Green and Gold fun. Attendees will come from 41 states and a handful of foreign countries.

The Green Bay Packers Wednesday released fullback William Henderson. Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson made the announcement.

"We are releasing William at this point so he can pursue other opportunities within the National Football League," Thompson said. "The Packers organization is extremely appreciative of his efforts over the past 12 seasons. His leadership and work ethic set an excellent example for everyone in our locker room. It is difficult to part with a high-character individual like William. He has been an influential person on several outstanding Packers teams over his career. He always will be considered a Packer."

The Green Bay Packers today, citing the need to remain in the middle range among fellow NFL teams, announced plans for a ticket-price increase for the 2007 season.

The increase in all sections of the stadium bowl will be $5 per ticket.

"Each year we look at our ticket prices as they relate to the rest of the league and adjust accordingly," said Mark Wagner, the Packers' director of ticket operations. "This increase keeps us in the middle of the pack in pricing, where we always try to be.

"We take into account our league ranking in average ticket price and how that relates to our contribution to the shared revenues among visiting teams. The increase in price this year will take both figures to about 20th place among all clubs. That ensures we're making our fair contribution to the other teams as well as keeping in mind the valuable game day experience we offer our fans. The fans enjoy coming to games at Lambeau Field and taking in all that it offers."

The roster for third annual Packers Fan Fest, set for March 9-10 at the Lambeau Field Atrium, continues to be finalized as the team announced further additions Friday.

Former general manger Ron Wolf, architect of the Super Bowl XXXI championship team, will appear along with players from the championship squad including Don Beebe, Antonio Freeman, Edgar Bennett, William Henderson, Gilbert Brown, Frank Winters and Dorsey Levens. Former sack-master Ezra Johnson will join current sack-master Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Rob Davis, Will Blackmon, Brandon Miree, Colin Cole, Daryn Colledge, Ruvell Martin, Patrick Dendy, Noah Herron and Jon Ryan.
