No, we haven't felt any effect from what's gone on this past week. Once again, the leadership of our organization is in tact, and the landscape of the National Football League changing is part of what goes on in our industry. During times like this, you look at leadership, and without a doubt, everybody has confidence in Bob Harlan and the executive committee.

(Have you spoken with the players about it?)
No, there really wasn't anything as far as our department or our area that I felt I needed to address. I touched on it in the team meeting today, just very briefly. Once again, the leadership is in tact and we're moving forward.

(What's Hodge's injury?)
It's a knee injury.

No he did not. He's going through rehab and he's getting close. It's probably going to take him throughout the OTAs. O..

Driver, Kampman, Colledge, Jennings & Hawk To Receive Awards At Packers Hall Of Fame Banquet

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Thursday announced Donald Driver, Aaron Kampman, Daryn Colledge, A.J. Hawk and Greg Jennings all will receive awards honoring last season's accomplishments at the 37th Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 21, 2007, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Robert Brooks and LeRoy Butler will become the 135th and 136th members of the Hall.

Driver and Kampman will be co-honored as the team's 'Most Valuable Player.' Driver, a repeat winner of the team MVP award, went to his second Pro Bowl following a 2006 season that saw him record career-highs in catches (92) and receiving yards (1,295) to go along with eight touchdowns. He also extended his streak of games with a reception to 80, the second-longest stretch in Packers history. Board Approves Nomination Of Four Candidates For Shareholder Vote

Wednesday at the Green Bay Packers' quarterly meeting of its Board of Directors, nominations of four candidates were approved to be voted upon by shareholders at the organization's Annual Meeting, July 25.

The four candidates are:
-Mark J. McMullen, Chairman and CEO, Associated Wealth Management, Green Bay.

-Diane L. Roundy, Director of Business Development, Schenck Business Solutions, Greenleaf, Wis.

-Mark D. Skogen, Owner/General Manager, Festival Foods, De Pere, Wis.

-Mike L. Weller, President, Miller Electric, Appleton, Wis.

"These candidates would bring valued expertise and talent to the Packers' Board of Directors," said Bob Harlan, the Packers' Chairman of the Board. "We're pleased to be able to present these individuals to the shareholders."

Directors taking on emeritus status at the Annual Meeting are Michael B. Gage and Daniel C. Beisel. Another member of the board, Ronald Sadoff, passed away in 2006.

Packers Ticket Invoices Due Wednesday For Brown Co. Residents Chosen In 2nd Drawing

The Green Bay Packers Tuesday reminded Brown County residents who received invoices enabling them to purchase tickets for a 2007 game that payment is due Wednesday, May 30, at the Packers' ticket office.

Invoices can be dropped off at the Packers' ticket office at Lambeau Field from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those dropping off payment in person should be aware of the Lombardi Avenue construction project and are advised to follow signage into the Lambeau Field parking lot.

Invoices sent by regular mail must be postmarked by May 30 and can be directed to: Green Bay Packers, P.O. Box 13564, Green Bay, WI, 54307-3564.

The invoices due Wednesday were sent to county residents whose names recently were chosen in a second ticket drawing.

Those selected were sent an invoice for four tickets to a yet-to-be-determined game for the 2007 season. Remitting payment by Wednesday secures tickets.

Jones To Take Personal Leave, Bob Harlan To Remain As Packers' Principal Executive

John Jones, president and COO of the Packers, has taken a leave of absence for personal reasons. Peter Platten, speaking on behalf of the organization's Executive Committee, made the announcement Saturday.

"We determined that it would be mutually beneficial for John to take a leave of absence while we continue our evaluation of the situation and collectively determine next steps," said Platten. "John will be on leave until the Executive Committee and John conclude that process."

"It's been a very difficult year but also a wonderful year in many respects," said Jones. "I need to step back and recharge my batteries. I will take this leave of absence. The Executive Committee and I mutually agreed that it was in the best interests of the Green Bay Packers to take this step."

Bob Harlan will continue to serve as the principal executive of the Green Bay Packers for a period of time to be determined, as Chairman of the Board, Platten also announced.

Rodgers, Colledge, Morency, Wells To Participate In Edgar Bennett Celebrity Bowl-A-Thon June 13

Aaron Rodgers, Daryn Colledge, Vernand Morency and Scott Wells are among the many players getting their bowling shoes and shirts ready for next month's Edgar Bennett Celebrity Bowl-A-Thon, set for Wednesday, June 13, at Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley.

Humana is the presenting sponsor for the event that will raise money for The Angel Fund for Children with Cancer, Inc., an organization dedicated to giving financial and social support to families residing in Brown County whose children are receiving treatment for cancer or for bone marrow failure.

In addition to Rodgers, Colledge, Morency and Wells, Packers running backs coach Edgar Bennett and more than 30 Packers players are scheduled to participate, along with many coaches and staff members.

Registration for the evening begins at 6 p.m., with the bowling event and silent auction to start at 6:30.

POPULAR EVENT NOW IN ITS 14TH YEAR

The 14th-annual Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale is set for June 8 and 9 in the Lambeau Field Atrium. The sale is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The popular and fun event, which often sees shoppers lining up well before the doors open, regularly witnesses thousands of fans make their way through the Atrium over the course of the two-day sale.

From humble beginnings in 1994 in the parking lot outside the former Pro Shop on the north end of Lambeau Field, the event has grown every year in terms of shoppers served and amount and variety of items sold. Now in its fourth year in the Atrium, the tent sale also was held in the west side stadium concourse in previous years.

Highlighting a mix of Pro Shop items sharply reduced in price and other special purchases, the sale also features items donated by the equipment staff that are no longer needed by the football team, including shoes, game pants and jackets.

It can mean the difference between life and death. Calling 9-1-1 for medical emergencies may seem clear if it's a catastrophic event. But when it's less clear - like the symptoms of a stroke or heart attack - many people aren't sure if they should call 9-1-1. However, the decision to make that call at the onset of symptoms can have a dramatic effect on a person's recovery or their survival.

(How much of the playbook were you able to get through this weekend?)
Our offense, defense and special teams are installed in nine installations. We went through the first and second one, so whatever percentage that falls, about 25-30 percent. It's the same thing we did with the rookies, we did it this weekend, and then when we come back in OTAs in 10 days, we'll go back and do 1 and 2 again. It's the foundation in which we teach everything off of.

(Did you see the rookies getting more comfortable after going through the rookie orientation?)
I thought the work was exceptional. Once again, we compare it to the past. When we were here at this time last year, we're way ahead of where we were this time last year. Just watching the pace of practice, finishing 4, 5, 6 minutes early every day, that's a reflection of the tempo and the understanding. You're not stopping for corrections. The Green Bay Packers, WLUK-TV Fox 11, Marian College and Ashley Furniture today hosted the "Best of the Class" in the Lambeau Field Atrium.

More than 200 of the top students from 92 Northeastern Wisconsin and Fox Valley schools attended and were congratulated for their efforts inside and outside the classroom. The students also were challenged to continue their success in the future.

Among the speakers addressing the group were John Jones, Green Bay Packers President/COO; Jay Zollar, Fox 11's vice president and general manager; Steve Prestegard, Marian College's director of public relations and marketing; and Bill Fonti, president and CEO of Ashley Furniture. The Green Bay Packers Wednesday announced that 'Family Night, Presented by FOX 11,' will take place Saturday evening, Aug. 4.

The NFL's most popular scrimmage, the Packers sold every available seat in the stadium bowl for the 2004-06 editions. This year's 'Family Night' will feature an intra-squad scrimmage between the Packers' offense and defense. The Green Bay Packers Tuesday announced plans to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Lambeau Field this season.

"Lambeau Field is one of the most hallowed sites in all of sports, and we're very excited to honor the 50th anniversary of its opening this season," said Packers President/COO John Jones. "Fans visiting Lambeau this year will have a number of fun ways to celebrate its anniversary. An anniversary logo was created to mark the occasion and it will be a prominent feature on many team items throughout the year.

I was frustrated a couple weeks back when Randy Moss was traded to New England. I never wanted to be traded and I don't want to be traded. I want to be in Green Bay. I want to finish my career as a Packer. Sometimes when I get frustrated I let my emotions get the better of me.

As I said in February when I announced that I was coming back, I am excited about the young talent on our team and the improvements we're going to see from one year to the next. I really enjoy the young guys I'm playing with. I'm working hard down in Mississippi right now, rehabbing, and I plan to be in the best shape of my life.

I look forward to playing with this team and seeing what we can do. I think we can be pretty good.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Monday announced plans to celebrate past cheerleading squads of the Green Bay Packers with a new exhibit, 'The Golden Girls,' set to launch at a special event from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.

In addition to a formal unveiling of the new exhibit, the evening's activities will include a gathering of many of the original 'Golden Girls,' the cheerleading squad that led the Lambeau Field faithful in cheers from 1961 through 1972. Guests of the Hall of Fame for the event will receive a 'Golden Girls' photo and be treated to great stories from the cheerleaders' days on the Lambeau Field sidelines.

I thought practice today was the best of the three, and I think that's something you could expect because everybody was new, except for obviously our six veteran players who were able to participate. Today was the best practice, and what I told them after practice when I called them up, it really served the purpose that we intended. It was an introduction to what's ahead. It was an introduction to mini-camp one. When they come back, the pace is going to be a lot faster, everybody is going to know what they're doing. Everything is going to increase. The amount of information that they will receive in the three-day period as opposed to what they received this past three-day period will be more, so everything is going to pick up. Wayne Larrivee, play-by-play voice of the Packers Radio Network, has been named emcee of the 37th Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 21, 2007, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Robert Brooks and LeRoy Butler will become the 135th and 136th members of the Hall.

One of the most distinctive voices in radio play-by-play, Larrivee this year will be calling his ninth season of Packers games. Prior to joining WTMJ and the Packers Radio Network in 1999, he called the plays for the Chicago Bears for 14 seasons, most recently on WMAQ-AM. Previously at WGN Radio, the then-Bears flagship station, Larrivee also called Chicago Cubs baseball and college basketball.
