Crane Named Public Relations Coordinator

Rob Crane, the Green Bay Packers' public relations intern in 2006, was promoted to public relations coordinator, Jason Wied, the Packers' vice president of administration/corporate counsel, announced Friday.

In his new role, Crane will serve as the primary writer of all football releases for the club, as well as assist with all the organization's media relations efforts. Other contributions will include coordinating player interviews with print and electronic media, including all radio requests.

Crane, 23, graduated from Boston College in May 2006 with a bachelor's degree in communications.

While at Boston College, Crane worked as a student assistant in the school's sports information department form 2003-06, serving as the sports information director for three varsity programs, as well as assisting with media relations duties across all 31 sports overall. He served as a media relations representative for the Eagles' football team, traveling to away games.

He also interned during summer 2005 with the NBA's Entertainment and Player Marketing division, writing editorial copy for NBA.com, among other duties.

A native of Wellesley, Mass., Crane graduated Cum Laude from Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Mass.
