The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Chris Francies from their practice squad and placed Carlyle Holiday on injured reserve Saturday. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, made the announcement.
Francies (pronounced FRAN-sis) played in seven games with the Packers in 2006. The second-year pro from Texas-El Paso caught two passes for 16 yards last season.
