| WR James Jones Nominated For NFL Rookie Of The Week
Packers WR James Jones is a finalist for Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honors, the NFL announced Tuesday. Jones made three receptions including a first-quarter 79-yard touchdown in the Packers' 19 - 13 win over the Denver Broncos. Fans can vote for one of these five players on NFL.com beginning Tuesday at 8am EST and ending on Friday at noon to determine the DIET PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK. The DIET PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK will be announced Friday evening on NFL.com. After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLII in Arizona. Miami Dolphins WR TED GINN JR. caught his first career touchdown on a 21-yard pass from Dolphins QB Cleo Lemon in the Dolphins' 13 - 10 loss to the New York Giants. Ginn also gained 65 yards on three kick returns. New York Jets LB DAVID HARRIS posted 17 tackles, including 10 solo, and one sack in the Jets' 13 - 3 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Chicago Bears TE GREG OLSEN made six catches for 59 yards including one touchdown in the Bears' 16 - 7 loss to the Detroit Lions. San Diego Chargers SAF ERIC WEDDLE posted four tackles (three solo) and one interception in the Chargers' 35 - 10 win over the Houston Texans. |
