On the Panthers
From what we have seen of the Panthers on film they have always been a physical football team. I have had some experience playing against John Fox and his football team from my years in New Orleans. I have a lot of respect for the way John goes about his business. I like the way they play. They challenge you schematically. If you go through their defense, their defensive line is the starting point. They don't have the depth that maybe they had in the past, but we are looking at this as a big time challenge. People can look at their road record and this team is 4-1 on the road. This is a game that we expect to be physical challenge.

On Brett Favre
Brett Favre has been very important to this football team. He is playing very well and at a very high level. In some game plans we've been very heavy in throwing the football. He has done an excellent job of handling the protection and everything that's involved in that. The perimeter group is playing at a very high level and I think our offensive line is getting better every week. I'm just very pleased with Brett's performance so far. He is the leader of this football team and is a major part of our success.

On preparing for more than one QB
It's tough on your film study because you try to zero in on one quarterback and with this team you have to prepare for different types of quarterbacks. It is all a part of your preparation. You have to stay true to who you are and make sure that you that you are able to handle their concepts both in the run game and pass protection.

On being able to run the ball
Running the football is very important. We are improving on offense in running the football and it will be a focus of ours as we move forward, especially this week.

On the success of the defense so far this season
It's a group that is now in their third year. I think that Bob Sanders has done an outstanding job of putting his blueprint together. It really came together for us defensively at the end of last year. It starts upfront with our defensive line and the ability we have to roll a few players in there, keeping them fresh. Our linebacker play has been very consistent throughout the year. Really, schematically, we couldn't play this defense if we didn't have the premier corners on the edges. I'm very pleased with the performance thus far, as far as points per game, and I think there is definitely room to improve.

On the play of Brett Favre
It's his second year in this system of offense. It's different from the systems that he has run in the past. He is more comfortable this year with the things that we are asking him to do, and more importantly, the people around him. It's just a maturation of our whole offense and we've got a lot of room to improve. Brett has really been the catalyst of keeping this thing going.

On Koren Robinson
We have a number of people in our organization that have a long history with Koren. I've gotten the opportunity to work with him over an extended period of time. Personally I feel that he is a fine human being that had an issue that he's been able to overcome and we will continue to support him in that area. As a football player he is someone that is a positive asset to our football team. I've been very impressed since he came in last year. He has been very popular in the locker room. He brings a lot of energy on special teams and to the wide receiver group. We are just happy that he has been able to overcome and we will support him as he moves forward.

On if signing Koren Robinson was a risky decision
There is risk in every decision that you make. Once again, we have a number of people who have a lot of history with Koren. He has definitely proved our decision right.

On if Koren Robinson has matured
Absolutely.

On In what ways Koren Robinson has matured
I think that anyone who has gone through what he has been through this past year is forced to mature. You have one or two choices. You either grow up and or go the other way. He clearly has things in order. You can tell just by the way he goes about his business. He has his priorities straight and he is just a lot more mature than this time last year.
