FREE EVENT TO INCLUDE LIVE TV SHOW, BAND AND FIREWORKS

Excitement is building for Friday night's Packers Playoff Pep Rally in Lambeau Field, an event that will see up to 15,000 fans gather in the stadium on the eve of the Divisional Playoff game against Seattle.

Lambeau Field's north end zone seating area is the setting for the evening. A special live TV program is the highlight of the event. It will feature Packers officials, including Chairman Bob Harlan and President and CEO-elect Mark Murphy, and Packers alumni, including Dorsey Levens, Antonio Freeman, Frank Winters and Jerry Kramer.

The band Johnny Wad, a popular Green Bay-area group that is a regular performer at Wisconsin festivals, including Summerfest and Bay Fest, also will entertain throughout the evening. Concessions will be open, serving food and beverage, as well as Packers Pro Shop merchandise. Other pep rally features include giveaways, including tickets to Saturday's game, two Ariens snow blowers and autographed Packers memorabilia. Attendees are reminded to retain their ticket stubs as they contain numbers that will be used to identify giveaway recipients.

A timeline for the event follows:
4 p.m. - Additional parking lots open for event.

5:30 p.m. - Miller Brewing Company and Verizon Wireless gates open to the concourse; concession stands open; Packers highlight video played.

6 p.m. - Entertainment begins on stage with Johnny Wad.

6:30 p.m. - Welcome by emcee, giveways begin, continued entertainment.

All available tickets for the event have been distributed. The Lambeau Field Atrium will remain open for regular business throughout the day, with the parking lot off Lombardi Avenue to be open to service those regular visitors. The other lots will open at 4 p.m. for the Pep Rally crowd; spaces are first-come, first-served.

Attendees should note that stadium chairs for rent on gamedays will not be available for this event due to the quick turnaround necessitated by the next day's game. Attendees also are asked to place food and refreshment trash in the proper receptacles to additionally assist with the preparations for the playoff game. Heaters will be stationed in two areas of the concourse, under Sections 105 and 106, for attendees.

Fans with ADA needs are asked to enter through the Atrium and proceed to the elevator. From there they'll be escorted to the appropriate seating area.

Fans not attending the Pep Rally in person can take in the evening's excitement through the live TV program from the event. It will air Friday night from 7 to 8 p.m. on WFRV-TV and other Packers Television Network stations around the state.

WFRV-TV will originate the special telecast with Larry McCarren, Burke Griffin, Jessie Garcia and Lance Allan as hosts. Numerous guests will be featured as well as a breakdown of the on-field match-up with the Seahawks.

In addition to WFRV in Green Bay, the network includes WTMJ/NBC, Milwaukee; WKOW/ABC, Madison, Wis.; WAOW/ABC, Wausau/Rhinelander, Wis.; WXOW/ABC, La Crosse, Wis.; WQOW/ABC, Eau Claire; WYOW/ABC, Eagle River, Wis.; WJMN/CBS, Marquette, Mich.
