Packers Sign 13 To Future Contracts

The Green Bay Packers have signed quarterback Jerry Babb, quarterback Dalton Bell, punter Ryan Dougherty, wide receiver Chris Francies, linebacker Spencer Havner, guard Ryan Keenan, defensive tackle Alfred Malone, tackle Chris Patrick, defensive back Joe Porter, wide receiver Johnny Quinn, guard Cameron Stephenson, tackle Cliff Washburn and running back Corey White to reserve/future contracts. The signings were announced Thursday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Francies, Havner, Keenan, Malone, Porter, Stephenson, Washburn and White concluded the 2007 season on the Packers' practice squad, while Patrick finished the season on the practice squad injured list.
Babb spent time on the Green Bay roster this past offseason but was waived prior to training camp, while Dougherty spent the final month of training camp with the Packers. Bell spent one week on the Packers' practice squad in September.
Quinn, a first-year player from North Texas, spent time with the Buffalo Bills last offseason. |
