The Green Bay Packers have signed exclusive rights free agent cornerback Tramon Williams to a one-year contract. The signing was announced Thursday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Williams played in all 16 games, including nine starts, for the Packers in 2008, his second season in Green Bay. He established career highs last season in tackles (52), interceptions (5) and passes defensed (14).

Brown County residents whose names were chosen in a second ticket drawing for a yet-to-be-determined 2009 Green Bay Packers home game have purchased the remaining available tickets.

Invoices were mailed at the beginning of May and as of Wednesday afternoon all remaining tickets were allocated.

Packers Pro Shop Annual Tent Sale Set For June 5-6

The 16th annual Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale is set for June 5 and 6 in the Lambeau Field Atrium. The sale is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

"It's become a very popular weekend for the Pro Shop and Packers fans," said Kate Hogan, Packers director of retail operations. "Thousands of fans come through, and many of them line up before the doors open. We've got some great items this year, with plenty of selection for both Friday and Saturday."

The sale will feature the traditional mix of Pro Shop items sharply reduced in price and other special purchases.

The team's football operations staff also has provided Packers team apparel no longer in use, including both practice- and game-worn items not normally available in the Pro Shop.

Cruise For Cancer Sixth Annual Ride Set For June 13

This Year's Event Features New, One-Way Ride: Peshtigo To Green Bay

The sixth annual Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer, a motorcycle ride to benefit cancer patients and their families throughout Northeastern Wisconsin, will be held on Saturday, June 13.

This year's route is a new, one-way event, leaving Vandervest Harley-Davidson in Peshtigo at 11:30 a.m. and making its way to Lambeau Field for the customary tailgate party.

Pre-registration forms currently are available through www.cruiseforcancer.org or at Vandervest Harley-Davidson in Peshtigo and Vandervest Custom Cycles in Green Bay. A $15 donation per person is required to participate in the ride. Riders who pre-register by June 8 are eligible for a chance to win an autographed mini-helmet.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. today announced that cornerback Charles Woodson and wide receiver Jordy Nelson will receive the Hall's awards for 'Most Valuable Player' and 'Rookie of the Year,' respectively, at the 39th Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 18, 2009, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Antonio Freeman and Dorsey Levens will become the newest members of the Hall that evening.

Event to Benefit Wendy's Wonderful Kids Program; Tickets Go On Sale June 6 Through Ticketmaster

The Green Bay Packers today announced that 'Packers Family Night, Presented by FOX 11,' will take place Saturday evening, Aug. 8. The event will benefit the Wendy's Wonderful Kids foster care adoption program, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

'Family Night,' now in its ninth year, will feature an intra-squad scrimmage between the Packers' offense and defense. Evening activities get underway in the stadium at 5:30 p.m., followed by on-field football drills at 6:30 and the scrimmage at approximately 7:30.

Free Event Features Fun-Filled Family Activities And Entertainment

The third annual 'Shindig at 1265,' a day filled with Green Bay Packers family fun, is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., inside the Lambeau Field Atrium.

A main stage with entertainment for the family is featured. Among the offerings are a comedy show, a singer and a magician. Other activities slated for the day include a bungee trampoline, cookie decorating, a craft station, a petting zoo, a flower potting station, strolling entertainment and airbrush tattoos.

Team Turns 90 Aug. 11; Logo, Contests To Mark Occasion

As the story goes, George Calhoun had a chance meeting with Earl 'Curly' Lambeau on a Green Bay street corner in the summer of 1919 and the two discussed starting a football team. A few weeks later, on Aug. 11, the two called a group of young athletes together to organize a team...the gathering marked the beginning of the Green Bay Packers.

This summer will mark the 90th birthday of the Packers, and the organization will celebrate the occasion with a "90 Years" logo, an online trivia contest and other fan activities.

"As the team marks its 90th birthday on Aug. 11, we look forward to celebrating nine decades, 12 world championships and several generations of Packers fans," said Craig Benzel, Packers director of marketing and sales. "We have a number of ways for fans to participate throughout the season."

The Packers Hall of Fame will honor mothers and fathers with free admission for them to the Hall on their respective 'holidays.' The 'Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour' departs Monday, May 11, for a four-day journey across the state with Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, safety Nick Collins, wide receiver Jordy Nelson and linebacker Brady Poppinga.
