"Golden Boy" Paul Hornung will join "Pee Wee" Reese at the front of Louisville Slugger Field.

A 7-foot bronze statue of Hornung, a Louisville native who won the Heisman Trophy at Notre Dame in 1956 and later starred for the Green Bay Packers, will grace the front of the park.

The statue, which will depict Hornung early in his career with the Packers, was commissioned by a group of Hornung's friends, led by attorney Robert Stallings.

The statue will be unveiled next week at Louisville Slugger Field.

Louisville sculptor Raymond Graf created the Hornung sculpture.

Graf also crafted a similar statue of Reese, another Louisville native, which marks the entrance to Slugger Field.

Hornung, 70, graduated from Flaget High School in Louisville. He was drafted No. 1 overall by the Packers.
