| Premium Seating Offers Variety Of Opportunities
posted 04/23/2007 Click here for more Premium Seating information. ** Even though the first game of the 2007 regular season is still five months away, the release of the schedule last week made a busy off-season even busier for many of the non-football departments at Lambeau Field. Much of the activity revolves around those now-scheduled games which so many fans want to see. One department that makes the game-day experience at Lambeau Field both sought-after and memorable is the guest relations department, which handles premium seating. The focus for premium seating during the off-season, up until last week, was handling the renewals for the private boxes and indoor and outdoor club seats. Those renewals generally are multi-year contracts of varying lengths, and contracted clients get the added benefits of invitations to the annual food tasting and the opportunity to watch training camp practices from the sidelines. But now that the schedule is out, premium seating is also taking single-game requests for private boxes and club seats. It's a first-come, first-served process, but once the season fills up there is a waiting list for single-game opportunities that has only a small fraction of the 70,000-plus names on the general ticket waiting list. "Having a premium seating contract isn't the only way to see a game at Lambeau Field from a private box or a club seat," guest relations director Jennifer Ark said. "Depending on how the renewal process unfolds, there are opportunities for per-game purchases. "When those do arise, we like to have strong prospects on that list, and the opportunity may be here sooner than they think." Ark added that single-game clients in premium seating get all the same gameday benefits as contract holders. For some, it's that unique opportunity to watch a Packers game live from somewhere other than a bleacher seat. For others, it's a chance to try out a private box or club seating arrangement and explore the possibility of a future contract. "We've had tryouts on a game-by-game basis that have turned into long-term commitments," Ark said. "A lot of potential clients have simply called us and we've discussed with them all of the options." Those options include possibly partnering with other clients who would prefer to share games or portions of the season. Those arrangements allow clients to get more than just a single game without taking on the full financial commitment of an entire season or long-term deal. "The opportunities are there, but we can't necessarily predict them," Ark said. "Some requests can be filled right away, and other times it's the ongoing communication with our waiting list that satisfies other needs. "The waiting list isn't as long as people think it is. It's a very fluid, active process." Any inquiries can be directed to the guest relations department at (920) 569-7260. |
