ST. LOUIS - With a 7-yard pass to Donald Driver in the fourth quarter on Sunday, quarterback Brett Favre became the NFL's all-time leader in passing yardage.

Favre entered the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis just 183 yards shy of Dan Marino's record of 61,361 yards. He threw for 134 yards in the first half and needed just 50 more to break it.
On the Packers' first play of the fourth quarter, Favre connected with Driver on a quick slant for the short gain. He was just 1 yard shy of tying the record at the time.

The game was stopped momentarily as Favre and Driver exchanged high-fives and hugs. Several teammates gave Favre congratulatory slaps on the helmet as Packers equipment manager Red Batty removed the record-breaking ball from the game.

The Packers finished the drive with a 25-yard field goal by Mason Crosby for a 30-14 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Over the past two seasons, Favre has now broken Marino's marks for career attempts, completions, yards and touchdowns. The first two he broke last year, while he set the TD record in Week 4 this season.

Favre also broke John Elway's career record for victories by a quarterback in Week 2 this season.

Favre pulled within 1 yard of tying Marino's yardage record with his 44-yard TD pass to Greg Jennings with 5:58 left in the third quarter. Going back to the second quarter, it was the Packers' 12th straight pass play.

Earlier in the game, Favre threw a 4-yard TD pass to Donald Lee. Favre completed passes to eight different receivers in the first half.
