- A converted running back with good size, closed out his Western Michigan career in 2008 as the all-time leading receiver in school history
- Started 35 of the 44 games in which he appeared during his collegiate career and had some of his best games against WMU’s toughest opponents
- Finished with 260 career catches over the course of four seasons for the Broncos, becoming just the third player in school history to eclipse the 3,000-yard receiving plateau with his 3,019-yard total from 2005-08
- Had his best statistical year in 2008 when he became the first player in the program’s history to record more than 100 receptions in a season (104) and the first to have had more than 80 in back-to-back seasons
- Also set a new single-season school record with 1,276 receiving yards
- Went over 100 yards receiving in six games and received first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors for the second consecutive season
- Had a season-high 13 catches at Central Michigan (Oct. 18) and his highest yardage output came in the Broncos’ 23-17 upset win over Illinois (Nov. 8) when he totaled 174 yards and a touchdown in a neutral site non-conference game at Ford Field in Detroit
- Also posted a career-high seven touchdown receptions as a senior
- A first-team All-MAC selection as a junior in 2007 after starting all 12 games and making 84 catches for 980 yards and six touchdowns
- Made a career-high 14 catches for 144 yards in WMU’s season opener at West Virginia (Sept. 1) and followed that effort by matching the impressive catches total a week later against Indiana (Sept. 8), gaining 158 yards
- Became the sixth player in school history with 70 or more catches in a season
- Made the position switch from running back to wide receiver prior to his sophomore campaign in 2006 and totaled 61 catches for 668 yards and two touchdowns in his first year at the position
- Flashed his ability to rise to the level of the competition, having the first 100-yard receiving games of his career at non-conference foes Florida State (Nov. 18) and vs. Cincinnati (Jan. 6) late in the season
- Was on the back end of the longest pass play in WMU bowl history when he caught a 76-yard touchdown in the International Bowl against Cincinnati
- First appeared as a versatile pass-catching back and kick returner as a redshirt freshman in 2005
- Played in six games that season, making 11 catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns, also returning six kickoffs for 120 yards and scoring a touchdown off a blocked punt
- Was a steady contributor on special teams, making three tackles and forcing a fumble on various coverage units
- Redshirted in 2004
- Earned a degree in recreation management
- A two-way player at Central Academy High School in Flint, Mich., appeared at running back and wide receiver on offense and as a linebacker and safety on defense
- Was listed as the one of the top 25 players in Michigan by PrepStar and was named all-state, all-city and All-Saginaw Valley after making 55 catches for 657 yards his senior year
- Also lettered in basketball three times and in track once while in high school
- Attended Central for his final two years of high school after transferring from Lakewood (Calif.) High School where he spent his sophomore year
- Attended Flint Northern as a freshman before moving to California
- Participated in hospital visits and volunteered at youth summer camps during his time in college
- Was a teammate of current Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings during the 2004-05 seasons at Western Michigan and assumed Jennings’ role as the team’s primary receiver following his departure for the NFL
