The open practices will be three organized team activities (OTAs) and two mandatory minicamp workouts. The open OTA practices are slated for three Tuesdays — May 21, May 28 and June 11 — and will begin at 11:30 a.m. CT. The Green Bay Packers 2013 Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held Wednesday, July 24, at 11 a.m., at Lambeau Field. The meeting will take place rain or shine.
The Green Bay Packers signed CB James Nixon to the practice squad on September 20, 2012.
Nixon, a 6-foot, 180-pound rookie out of California (Pa.), was with Arizona for most of the preseason after signing with the Cardinals as a non-drafted free agent on May 11, 2012. He appeared in 12 games with two starts in his only season at California after spending his first three seasons at Temple (2008-10), where he played both offense and defense and returned kickoffs. Nixon posted a 25.8-yard average on 41 kickoff returns and had 42 carries for 322 yards (7.7 avg.) and 13 receptions for 373 yards (28.7 avg.) for the Owls. He will wear No. 23 with the Packers.
