Matt Klein
Football Administration Coordinator

Matt Klein enters his 10th season with the Green Bay Packers. Named football administration coordinator by Head Coach Mike McCarthy in January 2006, Klein previously served as assistant director of football administration.

Responsible for coordinating all facets of the team's daily operations, including the coaching staff's schedule, Klein serves as a point of communication in administering every Packers practice and team function, including offseason mini-camps, organized team activities and the annual training camp. He also arranges team travel for the club's away games.

Klein, 32, originally joined the Packers as administrative assistant/football in 1999, when he first worked with McCarthy, then Green Bay's quarterbacks coach. After six seasons in that capacity, Klein was promoted to assistant director of football administration prior to the 2005 campaign.

Born Aug. 29, 1976, in Clintonville, Wis., Klein spent five seasons working with Barry Alvarez's football staff at the University of Wisconsin. Contributing to a program that earned berths in four bowls, including a victory in the Rose Bowl after the '98 season, Klein assisted coaches Brad Childress and Jim Hueber. Childress (head coach) and Hueber (assistant offensive line) now are with the Minnesota Vikings.

Klein left school early to accept a position with the Packers in 1999. He completed his coursework at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and earned his bachelor's degree in marketing, with a minor in economics.

A football letterman at Clintonville (Wis.) High School, Klein played fullback and linebacker. He also lettered in golf.

Klein and his wife, Leah, live in Green Bay with their two sons, Nathan, 5, and Owen, 3.

A friend of fellow Wisconsin native Matt Kenseth, a top-ranked Sprint Cup competitor, Klein enjoys closely following NASCAR. He also devotes much of his spare time to reading and spending time with his family.
