Training Camp Attractions

Green Bay Packers training camp has traditionally been an event to experience, but now fans can take in action beyond the field during their visit to training camp. From July 26 - August 28, visitors will enjoy a five-week event that integrates daily themed activities, on-site interactive games, sponsored giveaways and community events.

Visitors can still experience the traditional features of training camp, including the Packers Experience, players riding children's bikes from Lambeau Field to Clarke Hinkle Field, acquiring autographs of players and coaches and getting a sneak preview of the upcoming season.

PACKERS PRACTICES

Practices, weather permitting, are free and open to the public until August 28, 2005.

Practices will take place on Clarke Hinkle Field, just across Oneida Street from Lambeau Field. Morning practices generally begin at 8:45 a.m. and run until approximately 11:15 a.m. Meanwhile, afternoon practices generally begin at either 2:15 p.m. or 2:45 p.m.

Any practices moved inside to the Don Hutson Center due to inclement weather, poor field conditions or for other reasons will be closed to the public due to space limitations. All other practices will be open to the public unless indicated otherwise. - 2005 Packers Practice Times

There are a limited amount of bleacher seats available on a first-come, first-served basis surrounding the practice field. Many fans also bring along lawn chairs to set up on the sidewalk surrounding the fence. Parking in the Lambeau Field parking lot is free for most practice sessions. There is also plenty of free street parking available within a short walk of the practice field.

New For 2005: New to the 2005 training camp will be complimentary daily training camp guides and Green Bay Press-Gazette newspapers courtesy of Wisconsin Gannett Newspapers. The training camp guide will include information on practice times, Lambeau Field Atrium amenities and events and the Packers Experience schedule and main stage programs.

In addition, a matrix board will be displayed to provide daily, up-to-date information to fans attending practice.

HAVE A PLAYER RIDE YOUR BIKE

In what has been a Packers tradition since the days of Vince Lombardi, Packers players will often ride to the practice field on the bicycles of young Packers fans.

Youngsters with bicycles are encouraged to line up near the area where the players exit/enter Lambeau Field (in front of the Oneida Nation Gate). Players will generally come out for practice starting about 20 minutes before the scheduled start of practice.

While some players will choose to walk to the practice field, most players will pick a bike to ride to practice, with the bike's owner either hitching a ride on the back of the bike or running alongside the player.

Remember, if you're a young Packers fan and you want a player to ride your bike, be courteous -- it will help your chances!

    AUTOGRAPH TABLES

On select days following the morning practice, a handfull of Packers players and coaches will be stationed at an autograph table inside the practice field area. During the morning practice, Packers personnel will hand out a limited amount of FREE admission tokens at random to Packers fans lining the fence. The FREE token is needed for admission to the autograph table. View the 2005 Packers Practice Times schedule for a list of practices that will be followed with autograph sessions.

If you are not lucky enough to receive an admission token, don't fret. Many of the players will sign autographs on their way back to the stadium after practice. Please remember that in some instances the players have a limited amount of time following practice to get to scheduled meetings. And always be courteous when seeking autographs -- it will help your chances of landing a Packers momento from Training Camp.

    LAMBEAU FIELD ATRIUM ENTERTAINMENT

Main stage entertainment will take place in the Lambeau Field Atrium between practices and embrace a variety of programs including high school dance team performances, entertainment for children, alumni question-and-answer sessions, Gatorade health and fitness sessions for kids and a talent search to find the next teen co-host of the Packers kids show, "G-TV". Fans will also have the opportunity to hear stories of the Packers' past with team historian Lee Remmel. - Entertainment Schedule

    LAMBEAU FIELD EATERIES

The Lambeau Field Atrium contains seven dining options during Training Camp, all of which will be open during Training Camp lunch hours.

Options include Curly's Pub, The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Grill, Frozen In Time Ice Cream, Brett Favre's Two-Minute Grill, Chili John's, Fratello's Presto and The Meat Packing Co.

All children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult or guardian to enter the Packers Experience area. This area will not be open on Aug. 5-6, 11-12, and 26-27 to accommodate Family Night and both preseason home games.

Program Addition: On Friday, Aug. 6, the Milwaukee Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will team up with the Green Bay Packers to distribute inkless ID kits to interested parents at Lambeau Field.

Parents are encouraged to stop by the Oneida Nation Gate on the east side of the stadium, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., to pick up their kits. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the Green bay Packers Experience.
