Told mostly through the words of those who were there, including over 20 historic photos, the book, according to the publisher, takes an insightful look at the Green Bay Packers' training camps during the most glorious period in the franchise's storied history. The Packers started holding training camp at St. Norbert College in 1958 and continue to do so today; the summer partnership between the team and the college is the longest in the NFL.
The book, according to St. Norbert president Thomas Kunkel, "is both a good read and a great history of an era that was pivotal for both the St. Norbert College campus and the Packer organization."
Published by St. Norbert College Press, A Championship Team: The Packers and St. Norbert College in the Lombardi Years is available for purchase at the Packers Pro Shop for $14.95.
