Packers' alum Bill Schroeder, Associated Bank, distribute 29,600 cans of soup to Wisconsin pantries

Soup from ninth consecutive title in Campbell’s Chunky ‘Click for Cans’ contest

Food pantries across Wisconsin received the benefit of support from worldwide Packers fans Monday, March 21, as 29,600 cans were distributed as the bounty from a ninth consecutive win in the Campbell's Chunky soup's 'Click for Cans'online food drive.

Associated Bank, a Packers corporate partner, joined the effort and donated an additional 11,600 cans to the cause, augmenting the 18,000 that were garnered with the victory.

Packers alum Bill Schroeder (1994, 1997-2001) led the effort to load up the 29,600 cans for the 30 Wisconsin area food pantries that were present at the Associated Bank Gate on Lambeau Field's west side. Each pantry received about 1,000 cans. More than 350,000 people received assistance from the pantries that received the soup.

Approximately 60 pantry representatives were on hand to take delivery of the food. Cathy Dworak, Packers manager of community outreach and player/alumni relations, Bill Bohn, president and CEO of Associated Financial Group, and Bonnie Bellehumeur, president of Feeding American Eastern Wisconsin, also participated.

"It's great to have statewide fans that not only support us on the field, but off the field as well," Dworak said. "We're proud of our fans continued support, and of our relationship with Associated Bank."

Festival Foods, another Packers partner, also assisted with the effort through supplying the extra soup obtained by Associated Bank for the distribution.
