The Green Bay Packers and Sargento have raised $45,000 thus far in 2012 for the "Touchdowns for Charity" program to benefit the Wisconsin Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee County and Paul's Pantry in Green Bay. For each touchdown scored by the Packers during the 2012 regular season, Sargento donates $1,500 total (on 30 TDS thus far) to help fight hunger.
Since partnering 10 years ago, Sargento – the official cheese of the Green Bay Packers and Lambeau Field – has contributed more than $820,000 to the Hunger Task Force and Paul's Pantry.
During Packers' home games, announcements are made after every touchdown indicating the support for the program. Packers.com features a Sargento banner logo with the up-to-date donation total as well.
In December, Packers wide receiver Randall Cobbwill assist Sargento in presenting funds to both the Hunger Task Force and Paul's Pantry.
Sargento, a family-owned, Wisconsin-based company, is supporting Packers sponsorship throughout Wisconsin grocery retailers during the season with in-store product promotions to generate excitement with Packers fans.
