Green Bay releases five players

TE Nate Becker

The Green Bay Packers claimed TE Nate Becker off waivers from the Carolina Panthers and released RB BJ Baylor, LB Ellis Brooks, TE Dominique Dafney, G George Moore and LB Randy Ramsey. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Tuesday.

Becker (6-5, 258), a first-year player out of Miami (Ohio), originally signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He spent time on the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills in 2019-20 and appeared in one game for the Bills in 2020. Becker was released by Buffalo after the 2021 training camp and joined the Panthers earlier this month. He will wear No. 82 for the Packers.

Baylor, Brooks and Moore all signed as undrafted free agents with Green Bay on May 6.

Dafney played in 15 regular-season games with four starts and appeared in three postseason contests since signing with the Packers in 2020.

Ramsey originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and appeared in 12 regular-season games and two postseason contests for Green Bay.
