Packers donate $20,000 to Toys for Tots

Fans invited to join team in supporting annual toy collection

The Green Bay Packers announced today they have donated $20,000 to Toys for Tots, an initiative the team has supported for many years in a variety of different ways.

Previously, the team has sponsored a Toys for Tots collection on one gameday each year at Lambeau Field. While such gameday collections no longer take place, the Packers are continuing to support Toys for Tots through this donation, and the team is inviting fans to join the effort.

An opportunity for fans and community members to donate is coming up this Saturday, Dec. 8, with the Shopko location in Ashwaubenon at 301 Bay Park Square collecting and matching all toy donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All toys donated during that time frame will be matched by Shopko and donated to children in need.

Numerous locations throughout Northeastern Wisconsin are accepting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages, from infant to teen. Visit for a full list of locations accepting donations.

Toys for Tots will be accepting donations through Dec. 12.
