The excitement continues to build for the Packers Draft Party at the Lambeau Field Atrium, April 29, now just two weeks away.
Fans now can purchase tickets, priced at $25, through the Green Bay Packers, in person at the Packers' ticket office and the Packers Pro Shop, or over the phone by calling 800/992-5750 (a $4 handling fee per phone order applies). Tickets also are available at 18 Wisconsin Mills Fleet Farm locations. Children ages 3 and younger are free.
In addition to watching the NFL draft unfold, attendees can partake in exciting new draft party features: wireless internet access; computer stations with Web access; the "FanTastic Combine," a draft tryout event featuring a 20-yard dash, vertical jump and other activities for fans ages 5 and older; and a viewing and photo opportunity inside Lambeau Field.
The event, running from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., will feature ESPN and NFL Network draft coverage on two large television projection screens. The Packers' flagship radio station, Newsradio 620 WTMJ, will be on hand to provide coverage and analysis throughout the day as well.
Ted Thompson, Packers Executive Vice President and General Manager, is scheduled to address fans in attendance after the team makes its first selection. Packers President/CEO Bob Harlan and Executive Vice President/COO John Jones will speak to fans prior to the start of the draft.
Packers defensive end Michael Montgomery and linebacker Brady Poppinga have been added to a player appearance lineup that includes Ahman Green, Aaron Rodgers, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Nick Collins, Terrence Murphy and Kurt Campbell. Each player will participate in a question-and-answer session on stage with WTMJ Radio as well as sign autographs. Upon entering, each attendee will receive a ticket for one randomly assigned autograph session that will include two players.
The Atrium's Wi-Fi "Hot Spot," provided by Time Warner Cable, will allow attendees who bring wireless-enabled laptops to log on to their favorite draft Web sites and follow the day's action online. Computer stations also will be available that will enable fans to track draft information via the Web.
Other features of the day include:
- Commemorative 2006 NFL Draft mini-football for all attendees.
