The Green Bay Packers today formally announced the publication of Green, Gold, and Proud: Portraits, Stories, and Traditions of the Greatest Fans in the World.

The team collaborated with photographer Curt Knoke and Triumph Books to put together the unique publication, a book that takes a fun look at the fervent fans of the storied franchise.

"Our fans - our owners - are truly the best in all of sports," Packers President and CEO Bob Harlan said. "We wanted to do something that gave back to the fans as much as they've given us. This book took more than two years to assemble and it was worth it. The photos in this book are fantastic. The stories are incredible. Hundreds of photos and stories of the greatest football fans in the world fill this book and we're happy to celebrate them through Green, Gold, and Proud."

Harlan and Packers Executive Vice President and COO John Jones were on hand at the Lambeau Field Atrium today to make the announcement. Also present was Knoke and a handful of fans featured in the book, including Sister Isaac Jogues Rousseau, the 2003 Packers' Fan Hall of Fame inductee, and Christopher Handler, the current painter proud to paint the Lombardi Avenue fence slogans that have become a 21-year tradition.

Packed with hundreds of vivid, full-color photos that capture the true Packers experience, Green, Gold, and Proud takes fans from the raucous excitement during a game to the green and gold living rooms, cars, and shrines across the country. In addition to the photos, the book is filled with many interesting stories of the team's wildly supportive fans across the country.

Every copy of Green, Gold, and Proud comes with a DVD documentary titled The Legend of Lambeau Field. More than 80 minutes long, The Legend of Lambeau Field chronicles the storied past of Lambeau Field by sharing with fans the stadium's view of history - the games, players, coaches and moments that have molded the Packers' championship past and path to future glory.

The book is available at the Packers Pro Shop, online at www.packersproshop.com, and at retailers across the state.
