The Packers will welcome the Houston Texans to Green Bay next week for joint practices, the first time since 2005 that the Packers have hosted another team for practices during Training Camp.

The practices will take place at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, and Tuesday, Aug. 6, ahead of the preseason matchup on Aug. 8. The Texans will begin practice on Clarke Hinkle Field, on the west side of the Don Hutson Center, before joining the Packers on Ray Nitschke Field on the east side of the Don Hutson Center for the joint portion of each practice.

To ensure the Texans players experience one of the most storied training camp traditions in the NFL, kids of all fan affiliations are encouraged to bring their bikes to Lambeau Field to offer rides to the Texans and Packers alike during the two days of practice. Every Texans player will be riding a bike to practice if there are enough bikes available, so fans and community members are asked to welcome the team in true Green Bay fashion.

To offer a ride to the Texans, kids are asked to line up with their bikes near the visitor's locker room door, located adjacent to the South Gate on the south end of Lambeau Field off of Valley View Road. Riders can line up as early as 8 a.m., but are asked to be in place by 9:15 for the Texans to make their way to practice. A bike corral will be set up to guide kids and players from the locker room door as they travel east, through the Lambeau Field parking lot and across Oneida Street. Texans players will enter the practice field through a gate in the fence surrounding Clarke Hinkle Field.

During practice, kids can line their bikes up against the fence to wait for the end of practice, when they will be able to offer their bikes for the Texans players exiting through the gate to ride back to the locker room.

To ensure a smooth and safe ride to practice, Oneida Street will be closed to traffic between Lombardi Avenue and Mike McCarthy Way from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both practice days. Visitors should know that Packers players will continue to ride bikes, as well, with normal operations taking place on DreamDrive outside the Oneida Nation Gate.

The Lambeau Field Atrium also offers plenty to do and see during training camp, including the Packers Pro Shop, the Packers Hall of Fame and Lambeau Field Stadium Tours. 1919 Kitchen & Tap will be open each day beginning at 11 a.m., with the Atrium eateries also open select hours. Fun-filled, historical Heritage Trail Trolley Tours are also available through the Packers Hall of Fame. Visitors also can take advantage of the Green Bay Metro's Green and Gold bus routes, which offers free rides between Lambeau Field and downtown Green Bay every 30 minutes.
