The Green Bay Packers have signed G Anthony Coyle to the practice squad and released C Austin Davis from the practice squad. The transactions were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Coyle, a 6-foot-4, 298-pound rookie out of Fordham, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans on May 11, but was released on Sept. 1. He appeared in 48 games over four years for the Rams, starting 10 games at right tackle (2014) and his final 34 games at left tackle (2015-17). Coyle earned first-team All-Patriot League honors in each of his final two seasons. He will wear No. 71 for the Packers.
Davis was signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent out of Duke on May 4, 2018. After being released after training camp, he was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 2.
