Packers, USA football to host free webinars for Wisconsin youth coaches

The Green Bay Packers and USA Football will host a pair of free webinars for Wisconsin youth football coaches on Aug. 10 and Aug. 11 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. CT. 


The Green Bay Packers-USA Football Webinar Series will provide insight and direction to help youth leagues deliver fun and positive football experiences when youth football responsibly returns to play.

Topics will cover youth coach instruction on:

  • Practice Planning: Monday, Aug. 10, click to register, led by USA Football Master Trainer Chris Metzger, head coach of Pinecrest (N.C.) High School.
  • Building Better Programs and Players: Tuesday, Aug. 11, click to register, led by USA Football Master Trainer Terry Donovan, offensive coordinator of Kasson-Mantorville (Minn.) High School.

USA Football Master Trainers Metzger and Donovan possess more than 40 combined seasons of high school coaching experience.

In addition, the Packers will underwrite USA Football Youth Coach Certifications for hundreds of youth coaches statewide this summer.

USA Football is the sport's national governing body and a member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. The independent non-profit offers the only youth football coach education accredited by the U.S. Center for Coaching Excellence. More than 700,000 coach certifications have been completed through USA Football since 2012.
