Hey all you football fans and draft gurus, the NFL Draft will soon be upon us and here at Packers.com we have an exciting way you can get involved in the action.
The official Web site of the Green Bay Packers is pleased to announce the fourth annual Packers.com Draft Day Challenge in which fans can win cool prizes by correctly predicting the team's first pick of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Here's how it works:
From Tuesday, April 24, through the eve of the draft, Friday, April 27, fans can log on to Packers.com and try and predict the identity of the player the Packers will choose first in the 2007 NFL Draft, held in New York City, April 28-29.
Participants must be at least 13-years-old and must fill out the entire entry form to be eligible. Only one entry per person will be accepted, and all entries must be submitted by noon CT, April 27.
Currently, the Packers are slated to pick 16th overall in this year's draft. It is possible, however, that the Packers could trade up or back in the draft on or before draft day. Take this into consideration when making final picks because once submitted -- all predictions are final (see below for further clarification).
All those who correctly predict the Packers' first pick will have their names displayed at Packers.com following the draft. Three lucky winners, drawn at random from that pool, will win one of the following prize packages:
Prize Package 1
A.J. Hawk autographed football
Green Bay Packers portable tailgating chair
Prize Package 2
Donald Driver autographed football
Green Bay Packers notebook
Prize Package 3
Bob Harlan autographed 10th Anniversary Super Bowl XXXI print
In the event that no one correctly predicts the Packers' first pick of the NFL draft, or if less than three individuals guess correctly, remaining prize packages will be distributed by random drawing.
Remember, once submitted all predictions are final and may not be changed or otherwise re-submitted. If you think the Packers might make any transactions prior to the draft or on draft day that will affect your prediction (i.e. acquiring a player in free agency or trading from their current position with the 16th overall selection), take that into consideration before submitting your prediction or wait until closer to the deadline to submit your pick.
Participants are only required to identify the Packers' first pick of the draft. They do not need to predict whether the Packers have to trade up or down from their current position with the 16th overall selection to acquire that player. In the event the Packers trade out of the first round and don't select until the second round, or later, Packers.com will still recognize all correct predictions.
