GREEN BAY -- For the third time this season, Packers RB Aaron Jones has been nominated for the NFL's FedEx Ground Player of the Week for his performance vs. Carolina.
Fans can vote for Jones by going to NFL.com/FedEx or by visiting the NFL Twitter page.
Jones rushed 13 times for 93 yards and three touchdowns, his second three-TD game of the season as the Packers beat the Panthers, 24-16. He became the first Packers RB with two three-TD rushing games (he had four rushing scores at Dallas in Week 5) since Hall of Famer Jim Taylor in 1962.
With his three TDs, Jones also tied Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey for the overall NFL lead in touchdowns with 14. He's also tied with McCaffrey for the second-most nominations for this weekly award among all NFL running backs.
Jones' 11 rushing touchdowns on the season are the most by a Packers RB since Eddie Lacy had 11 as a rookie in 2013, and his 14 total TDs are the most by a Packers RB since Ahman Green posted 20 (15 rushing, five receiving) in 2003.
The other FedEx Ground nominees this week are Tennessee RB Derrick Henry, who had 23 carries for 188 yards and two TDs in the Titans' 35-32 win over the Chiefs, and Browns RB Nick Chubb, who had 20 carries for 116 yards in the Browns' 19-16 win over the Bills.
