Packers Make 8 Selections In Draft
The 2009 NFL Draft wrapped up with Packers GM Ted Thompson adding three players on offense and five on defense.
For the first time since 1993 (Wayne Simmons & George Teague), the Packers made two selections in the first round, nabbing Boston College NT B.J. Raji at #9 and USC LB Clay Matthews at #26.
The Packers were able to select Matthews when Thompson sent picks 41, 73 and 83 to the New England Patriots for picks 26 and 162.
